Garland Craft is an excellent song writer and piano player.      He has always         
had a love for music and three  part harmony.    As  teenagers, Garland, his sister
Judy and brother Joseph formed a group called The Craft Trio.
They would sing at family gatherings and  Churches.  The  Craft Trio were
in several competitions and won an award.
Garland was playing the piano for Churches, Evangelists, and musical groups
at the age of eighteen.
Garland was born in Wilson N.C.  His family moved to Philadelphia when he was
eleven.  Judy lives around the Philadelphia area and is a great singer and
songwriter.  Joseph lives near Philadelphia and is a successful businessman with
a talent for music.  Garland has a daughter,  Amberly.  She attends college
and is studying sports medicine.

Thru the years Garland has traveled with many people.  Some are; Roy Clark,
David Frizzell and Shelley West,  Jimmy Dean,  Freddy Fender,  T. Graham Brown.
The Oak Ridge Boys and The Bellamy Brothers.  He also produced for T. Graham
Brown.  Garland assisted with production for The Oak Ridge Boys.
They have recorded eight of his songs.

Garland has one Grammy Award and a Music City News Award.  He has a medallion
commemorating the induction of The Oak Ridge Boys into the Gospel Music
Hall of Fame.  He also has a CMA Band of the Year award.
Garland has writing citations from the American Society of Composers,  Authors
and Publishers.

Garland has written at least one hundred songs. Thirty of those songs have been
recorded.  Some of the songs were nominated for The Dove Awards.  One of
Garlands favorite songs he wrote is  Then You'll See.   The Oak Ridge Boys
recorded it on their new CD  From The Heart.

Writing Gospel songs and Studio work keeps Garland busy these days.
He retired two and a half years ago from full time travel.
