I thought I would tell a little about myself.  I'm a big fan of The Oak Ridge Boys.  A few years ago during Open House we met Garland Craft.  We were at Bell Cove where Garland played the piano.  It was really rockin!   In September 2000 I made up this Fan Site for Garland.  I had heard a lot about him and I was interested in learning more.   In June 2000, Sharon, my aunts Jeannie and Joyce had lunch with Garland.  It was very cool to listen to him.    I have learned that Garland has a great love for the Lord.  During my mom's illness with cancer, Garland sent notes of encouragement and always remembered us in prayer.  Mom thought that was so nice of Garland, she also loved to listen to his music. Saturday June 11, 2005,   Garland was in Odessa Missouri to play for Rachel Raye.  First on stage was a hypnotist. He had a few volunteers... I think they might have been family or friends. I had not seen a hypnotist before and probably will not see one again! I was somewhat sleepy by the time he was finished.  I think that might have been because it was a bit boring! The second person on stage was T.J. Nelson. Garland had played the piano for him on his sound track.   Then Rachel Raye came on stage to sing.  She is good! Garland was on the keyboard and he did a great job! You can tell Garland loves what he does, he is working on a new CD now and I can't wait to hear it! It was good to see Garland again.  We always look forward to seeing him in Nashville.  He surprised us by being in our area.  Come back and see us again Garland!   In June 2008 Sharon, my aunt Jeannie and I were able to eat lunch with Garland on Saturday at Cracker Barrel where Garland lives!  We had a good time visting with Garland! He has so many stories to tell! :) We were in town for Chris Goldens concert on Saturday night.   That was alot of fun too!! Sunday morning we went to the Church where Garland plays the organ.  After church we met up with Garland again ... at Cracker Barrel!!!  We had so much to talk about and the time just seems to go by so fast. It was a very short weekend..... one that we had never done before....  we flew out of Kansas City on Saturday morning to Nashville and back home late Sunday afternoon!!  It was alot of fun.  I said I would never fly again... we will see if I change my mind next June!!
